AWANA Awards

Grandpa and Grandma Bradley endured part of awards night. We all left as soon as Nick and Alex got their awards. I was surprised to find out that Alex loves being on stage. He smiled and waved to us the whole time. I think he was trying to tell me something but I was sitting on the back row. We are very proud of the boys for how good they have done learning many, many Bible verses. And we are very thankful for Mrs. Pam and Mrs. Christy for all their hard work! They both also have great Sunday school teachers that we are very thankful for- Mrs. Sara and Mr. Ed. Nick has memorized a lot of Bible verses in Sunday school, too. Alex learned this week that he is suppose to obey his parents. He seemed very amazed by this concept.

Have a Six Flags Day!

We did exactly that and once was enough :)

stay off the furniture

It is new! And I'm trying to keep two little messy boys off. They seem to think our furniture is their jungle gym.

Field Trip

We ended up having a beautiful day for Nick's spring field trip to Grant's Farm. He loaded the bus at school about 8:15 and Alex and I drove up to meet them at Grant's Farm. We loaded the tram to go see all the animals. Nick and Alex had a great time being together. I think Nick thought it was fun to see all the other "busy bees" from his class. He really seems to like all the kids in his class and talks about a lot of them. We rode the tram behind Gavin and Colton. After the tram ride, we fed the goats and then went to a bird show. We walked around and the boys talked me into buying them a snow cone.Of course, I had to let Nick and Alex ride the carousel before we left. And Nick had fun watching the carousel and waveing at all his friends.
Our next stop was Suson Park for a picnic. Nick's class usually eats at 11:15, but they didn't get to the park until 12:30. As you can imagine, all the kids were very hungry. We had a few minutes to go play on the playground before the kids left on the bus to go back to school. I signed Nick out so he could stay with us for the rest of the day.

Nick and Alex played for a long time. They didn't even want to go see the animals. The place eventually cleared out and all that was left was us and Nick's friend Alana from class and her little sister Zoey. Nick told me Alana is his best friend.

It was exciting to be on my child's first field trip and I was so thankful that it went so smoothly.

noodles and onions

I hope I never forget how funny my boys are when they are slurping down their Chinese noodles. They sure enjoy them. Most days I actually want to forget and I do hope they learn how to eat them a little more mannerly, but it's still kind-of cute now.
Alex also likes to take his giant green onions from Grandpa Bradley's garden and chomp them down. Other favorites include cucumbers and watermelon. That would be Alex. Nick prefers strawberries and Grandma and Grandpa Bradley are providing plenty of those right now, too. They are delicious.

Some firsts and a second

Alex had his first visit to the Dentist. He did great and seemed to enjoy most of it. He especially liked getting a new toothbrush and watching the video of the monkey brushing his teeth.
Nick had his first music program at school. He did a super job and we were very proud of him. He stood still when he was suppose to and sang every word to every song and did every action. We could all tell he loved being up there performing. And now for a second- today is Logan's second birthday. It is hard to believe that Nick and Alex's oldest cousin is now two years old. Nick was so excited when Logan was born and has loved him ever since. Alex and Logan have become good friends and enjoy playing together now. We are blessed to have him in our family.
